Yggdrasil, also known as the World Tree, is a mysterious crystalline treelike structure that radiates with uncontrollable magical energy. From it's very roots and to its branches, it bleeds power from the dimensions of Fire and Earth, the Void, and Water and Air. From a distance, it appears as a practically white, glowing tree, towering even above the mountaintops that surround the crater it grows from. The crater itself is a desolate wasteland, its area covered with ashes, bones, and writhing, black thorn vines.
The tree has steadily been increasing its output of energy, making the area around it more unstable. More rifts have opened, allowing powerful creatures from the alternate dimensions access to Aksyos and allowing fools and explorers access to these alternate dimensions. However, these creatures are fairly contained around the tree, aren't in high volume, and tend to be more passive unless you are marked as an immediate threat, making sneaking by them fairly simple.
Reportedly there is an archive facility below Yggdrasil. According to 42, both it and its guardian are corrupted.
The tree itself is the crystallized body of Dark Mir that fell to Aksyos thousands of years ago. At one point the tree bore many mysterious fruit in which the original Akyr awakened from.
